KBS교향악단은 1956년 창단된 이래 60여 년간 대한민국을 대표하는 교향악단으로 한국 클래식 음악계의 성장과 발전을 주도해왔습니다. 지난 2012년 재단법인으로 새롭게 출발하며 변화의 첫 발을 내딛은 후 음악계의 중추적인 역할과 책임을 다하고자 다양한 연주활동으로 여러분과 함께하였습니다. KBS교향악단의 대표 브랜드 정기연주회와 기획연주회, 내일의 주역을 위한 어린이 · 청소년음악회, 사회공헌 사업인 찾아가는 음악회 등으로 환희와 기쁨이 있는 곳에 즐거움을 선사하고 슬픔으로 이로가 필요한 곳에 음악으로 마음을 어루만지고자 노력하였습니다. 2016년에는 음악감독 요엘 레비와 함께 우리의 ‘중심’에 있는 ‘청중’을 위하여 모든 구성원이 한마음이 되어 아름다운 음악을 전하는 소임을 다하고자 합니다. 임원식 초대 상임지휘자 이후 홍연택, 원경수, 오트마 마가, 정명훈, 드미트리 키타옌코 등 세계 정상의 지휘자들이 상임지휘를 맡으며 국내 정상의 오케스트라로 자리매김하였습니다. 2016년은 KBS교향악단이 창립 60주년을 맞는 특별한 해입니다. Since the orchestra was founded 60 years ago, back, in 1956, KBS symphony orchestra has been the leader in growth and development in the Korean classical music arena. Since 2012, when we had a new start as an independent foundation, we have been serving you with a variety of performances, in order to carry out our roles and responsibilities as the key leader in the classical music industry. We have been trying our best to reach out to the public with music, we delivered pleasure where joy and happiness are called for, and music to embrace the people where consolation was for, with various vehicles we have, namely, our flagship brand, Subscription Concert, Special Concert, Kids & Youth Concert for the next generatons, K-lover Concert tailored for social contribution activities. In 2016, we are determined to carry out our duty to deliver beautiful music for the benefit of audience who are at the heart of our team’s focus, with our Music Director, Mr. Yoel Levi as all of us will act as one. 2016 will mark a special year as the 60th anniversary of KBS symphony orchestra. Ever since its inaugural season with Maestro Won-shik Lhm, the Orchestra has continued to grow under the leadership of great musical minds such as Yeon-taek Hong, Kyung-su Won, Othmar Mága, Myung-whun chung, and Dmitri Kitayenko.
